Dr Matthew DuBroy posts on CatholicLink with some helpful suggestions
“Maybe you shouldn’t be going to daily Mass or praying the Rosary every day. They are both very good things. But one of the mistakes we can make in the spiritual life is to move too quickly from “this
is a good thing to do” to “therefore, I should be doing it.” Those are not the same judgment. There are far more good things that could be done than we could ever actually do. We could go to daily Mass. Pray the Rosary. Spend more time in prayer. Do more spiritual reading. Practice a daily examen. Practice the presence of God. Have a plan of life. Volunteer at the parish. Help a neighbor. Bring a meal to someone who just had a baby, etc.”
